Since we have been studying Oaxaca, I thought this may be of some interest to some of you. The Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos is not only one of the most important celebrations in Oaxaca, it is also one of the most visited by tourists. Which I hope to one day to be able to attend. In the mean time I will just have to settle for attending the celebrations held locally. The San Jose Museum on Art is holding a Dia De Los Muertos festival this weekend. I have provided the link below. Also if you are interested they have an exhibit on Frida, for those of you interested in getting some more info you can kill two birds with one stone and check both out.
Hope you enjoy! I know I will be there.

Thanks! I'll probably stop by with my family.
Thanks for the information. Have fun at the museum and share with us your experience after.
Thanks for the information, I have heard a little about the Day of the Dead celebrations but don't know much about it, this seemed like it would have been an interesting event to go to though. Did you see the Frida exhibit there? I'm curious to know how it compared to the Frida exhibit at the MOMA..
Thank you! I will plan a trip to the Museum tomorrow to see the Frida Exhibit.
